The Presidential Convoy carrying incumbent and NRM flag bearer Yoweri Museveni and the campaign convoy of National Unity Platform presidential flag bearer Bobi Wine ‘met’ along Entebbe Road on Sunday.
This happened in the afternoon as Museveni was heading to Kampala from Entebbe while Bobi Wine was headed towards Entebbe.
The two sides met at Shell Kibuye near the roundabout but no serious event happened as a result.
Bobi Wine’s team was cut off by a van manned by Museveni’s guards and they were brought to a standstill to allow President Museveni to pass.
However, a handful of NUP supporters grouped on one end and started chanting People Power slogans towards Museveni’s convoy.
With Museveni's convoy out of sight, NUP supporters poured in the road and started chanting People Power slogans thrilled with excitement.
